Webinar Description In alignment with the NJDOE Guidelines for Schools on the Prevention of Human Trafficking of Students, Part I of this two-part series, will provide attendees with a fundamental understanding of:
  • What human trafficking is.

  • What factors can make certain groups more vulnerable.

  • Common recruitment strategies used by traffickers.

This presentation will also cover possible indicators of trafficking and share recommendations on reporting protocols and procedures to empower and equip school staff to be able to help identify and respond to suspected trafficking cases.

Be sure to also register for Part II of this series, Human Trafficking: Supporting Awareness and Prevention within Schools, being held on Wednesday, January 24 from 1-2:15 p.m. Part II will explore ways in which educators are able to support the prevention of human trafficking through utilization a tiered system of supports.
