High-quality inclusion in early education supports children's development, relationships with peers, and a sense of belonging, which is true for children with and without disabilities. The Inclusive Classroom Profile (ICP) is a tool designed for classrooms serving children between 2-5 years old in a preschool center-based program. It is a structured observation rating scale designed to assess the quality and daily practices that support the developmental needs of children with disabilities. Participants will learn all about the ICP as a tool, how to build capacity to implement the tool as a program assessment for key qualities of inclusion and to use the tool as a basis for planning inclusive opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to understand how the Inclusive Classroom Profile looks at high quality inclusive practices and serves as an excellent tool for self-reflection.
