Matching Students to Employment Sites to improve Work-Based Learning Experiences for SWD

Date(s) & Time(s) July 20, 2023   ~  9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Workshop Description Presenters: Bill Freeman, State Coordinator of Secondary Transition at the New Jersey Department of Education

Rather than placing students with disabilities with employers for work-based learning experiences and hoping that it will work out for students and others involved, an individualized student to job match process can be used to intentionally and systematically maximize the potential for success on the job. Learn about how you can match your students to jobs in the community that they can successfully perform using a proactive, intentional approach designed for students with complex support needs.
