The NEW Local Special Education Profiles 101 (In-Person/LRC-North)

Date(s) & Time(s) June 22, 2023   ~  10:00 am - 11:30 am
Workshop Description The State Performance Plan (SPP)/ Annual Performance Report (APR) is the annual report that states submit to the United States Department of Education (USED) on progress toward the implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This presentation will start with an overview of the SPP/APR measurable indicators and how these reports can inform the determination for local priorities to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

Following the overview, we will walk through the release of the NEW virtual dashboards, a simulation of how to use the local special education profiles while integrating other data sources (i.e. IDEA funding, monitoring reports, and 618 demographic data). The professional learning opportunity will conclude with an overview of projects and opportunities for support from the Office of Special Education, including but not limited to, communities of practices, panels and advisory councils, technical assistance requests, and more. Participants will walk away feeling motivated to take action on the individual needs of their district.

Registered participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the session, at least one week prior to the event. Registrants requiring special accommodations for the Technical Assistance Workshop should identify their needs at the time of registration. Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended.
