Workshop Description This Registration page is ONLY for students that have previously applied and been accepted and designated as a 2019 New Jersey Rising Scholars- this is registration for attendance for the Student Recognition Award program and Fair.

Each year, the New Jersey Rising Scholars Student Recognition Program, under the collaborative auspices of the Amistad Commission and the Malcolm Bernard HBCU College Fair of New Jersey, honors the academic achievement of high school seniors from diverse backgrounds, who are interested in attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) and are leaders in their school and community.

On Sunday, November 17, 2019, your hard work will be highlighted, celebrated and showcased privately in a recognition, awards ceremony and luncheon. A plethora of college recruiters from the HBCUs will be in attendance to help honor you as a recipient of the 2019 New Jersey Rising Scholars.

[Note: Due to the high volume of scholars this year, we can only guarantee space for two (2) guest(s) in addition to yourself, the scholar.]

2. Please REGISTER for the HBCU College Fair. Use either of these links:

3. Please bring with you a minimum of 15-20 copies of your high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores to distribute to the HBCU recruiters.

Many of the HBCU recruiters are authorized to make on-site admissions and scholarship offers for eligible scholars. A list of the 2019 Participating HBCUs is also attached for your information. Your transcript and SAT/ACT scores are needed to take advantage of this opportunity.
