Workshop Description The purpose of this regional invitation-only meeting is to garner state-wide input from secondary districts, postsecondary institutions, student organizations, and the workforce to focus on the development of high quality programs in the Human Services and Education clusters in New Jersey districts. The committee meets twice per year and during the summer. The committee is comprised of state-wide representatives across the disciplines to provide participatory approaches related to the following:

Growth and expansion of state-approved programs in the Human Services and Education Clusters.
Trajectories to foster the experiential learning of students transitioning into the global society as productive adult citizens.
Pedagogical approaches, professional development, and the continued learning of teachers in the practicing field.
Building stronger linkages with postsecondary institutions through 2year-4year models.
Alignment of industry credentials, and certificates to support improve opportunities for real-world experiences.
Opportunities for the participation of students in work-based learning, apprenticeship programs and career and technical education student organizations (CTSO).
Improving equity and access for all student learners.

The advisory committee meeting will be held at the Thomas Edison State University, John S. Watson Institute for Public Policy, Center for the Positive Development of Urban Children on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.
