Middlesex and Monmouth Counties - Comprehensive Equity Plan (CEP) Technical Assistance Session

Registration open only to Middlesex and Monmouth Counties

Date(s) & Time(s) May 1, 2019   ~  9:30 am - 11:30 am
Workshop Description The purpose of the TA session is to review the requirements of the 2019-2022 Comprehensive Equity Plan and to assist districts in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties in completing the CEP.

There will be TWO TA sessions on May 1, 2019. The first session will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The second session will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

In accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:7, Managing for Equality and Equity in Education, the responsibility of each board of education and board of trustees of every public school district, charter school and renaissance school project in New Jersey is to identify and correct all discriminatory and inequitable policies, programs, practices and conditions within or affecting schools.

The role of the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is to ensure that each district, charter school and renaissance school project complies with equality and equity requirements, and to provide guidelines to accomplish that result. The Comprehensive Equity Plan enables school districts, charter schools and renaissance school projects to demonstrate compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and regulations.

Due to the size of the venue, we ask that districts register no more than two representatives to attend one of the TA sessions.

Parking is available in the FRHSD parking lot and on the street. Please note that participants are NOT permitted to park in the church parking lot.
