For RAC-7 Schools Only: ELA Curriculum Conversations

ELA Data Analysis Professional Development Work Session

Date(s) & Time(s) October 19, 2016   ~  9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Workshop Description We know that during the first few weeks of school teachers collect a plethora of data that can provide valuable insights into students' learning. But often there is a struggle with using this data in meaningful ways to change instruction. On October 19th we will come together as coaches to discuss best practices around data analysis with teachers. We will share strategies for preparing teachers for data conversations, review different types of data protocols, and plan ways to make the data meetings run efficiently.

In the afternoon we will split into elementary and secondary teams to discuss what is going on in our classrooms. We will troubleshoot areas of concern with current practices (independent reading, F&P testing, etc) and plan for next steps (guided reading, strategy groups, etc). We look forward to collaborating on this day!

The target audience are Supervisors, Curriculum Directors, ELA Coaches and Master Teachers.
