Webinar Description This technical assistance session will provide local education agencies (LEAs) with guidance and support in applying for the Building Responsive Instruction through Data-Guided Evaluation (BRIDGE) grant. This competitive initiative offers funding to twenty (20) LEAs to strengthen Tier 1 literacy instruction in Grades K-3 through the strategic use of Universal Screening data and the implementation of evidence-based instructional protocols.

The BRIDGE grant is designed to support LEAs in building data-responsive systems that improve early literacy outcomes by integrating screening data into core instructional planning. Selected LEAs will receive funding to implement targeted strategies that promote equitable, research-based literacy practices tailored to student needs.

To be eligible for this competitive grant, LEAs must meet the following criteria:
- At least 70% of students must have scored below expectations on the 2024-2025 NJSLA-ELA Grade 3 assessment.
