Date(s) & Time(s)
March 6, 2025 ~ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Webinar Description
The New Jersey Department of Education?s Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning, in partnership with the Victim Specialist Unit of the FBI?s Newark Division, is hosting a one-hour virtual training on violent extremist networks engaged in the exploitation of children. One recent and dangerous online movement is referred to as ?764.? The 764 movement is a decentralized transnational sextortion network with alleged ideological ties to a right-wing Satanist terror network, is classified as a terror network by the U.S. Department of Justice and is considered by the FBI as a "tier one" terrorist threat. The movement seeks to solicit and exploit students between the ages of 8 to 17, and uses the Dark Web to exploit adolescents by encouraging them to engage in a variety of harmful behaviors. Victims who are solicited online are forced to commit recorded acts of self-harm to disseminate internally or share on social media platforms with the end goal of committing suicide.
Keyla Munoz and Mary Arvantipoulos, from the FBI?s Newark field office, will share a one-hour presentation on this harmful 764 extremist network. The presentation will help school/district leaders, school based behavioral threat assessment team members, school guidance counselors, teachers, first responders and school safety specialists recognize potential warning signs and take proactive action to protect students from the significant threats posed by this movement.
