Webinar Description

The "More Than Just A Month" series equips elementary and social studies educators with knowledge of underrepresented historical narratives. This professional development session offers an overview of Sikhism and the contributions of Sikh Americans from the 19th century to the present day, providing teachers with culturally sensitive resources and strategies to effectively integrate Sikh American narratives into their curriculum with the goal of promoting a more inclusive understanding of U.S. history and fostering religious literacy among students.
