Webinar Description

Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC) is "the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in intercultural situations based on one's intercultural knowledge, skills, and attitudes"(Deardorff, 2006).

Between October and December, 2024, participants will read and discuss one strategy to develop ICC, develop language specific material to implement in the classroom, and debrief with colleagues about implementation in the classroom through examining student work.

Sessions will be held on October 16, 2024, November 13, 2024 and December 11, 2024.

Participants are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions as each session builds upon the previous session.

Pre-reading will be shared out two weeks prior to the first session.
