The "More Than Just A Month" series empowers educators to create a more inclusive and accurate representation of history, moving beyond designated heritage months to weave diverse narratives and perspectives throughout the K-12 social studies curriculum. This professional development session explores Indigenous peoples' rich heritage and ongoing presence in New Jersey, providing teachers with culturally responsive resources and strategies to accurately incorporate Native American perspectives, from pre-colonial times to the present, into their curriculum.
