The "More Than Just A Month" series empowers educators to create a more inclusive and accurate representation of history, moving beyond designated heritage months to weave diverse narratives and perspectives throughout the K-12 social studies curriculum. This professional development session offers essential knowledge about the often-overlooked experiences and contributions of people with disabilities throughout American history, providing teachers with resources and strategies to integrate disability perspectives into their curricula with the goal of fostering a more inclusive understanding of US history and promoting disability awareness among students.
