Workshop Description The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Office of Kindergarten to Third Grade Education is pleased to extend an opportunity for Veteran Instructional Coaches of Grades K-3 to be part of the 2024-2025 virtual statewide Coaching Consortium. This opportunity will give instructional coaches the chance to network with other instructional coaches around the state and to attend professional development. This consortium is intended for all instructional coaches who provide support in coaching for teachers in grades K-3. These sessions will enable instructional coaches to share ideas, to investigate best practices and to exchange developmentally appropriate K-3 resources. The same registered instructional coach is encouraged to attend all three virtual series professional development sessions.

Veteran Coaches will be given a survey to complete when they join the consortium which asks the coaches topics of interest. Based on the survey results, topics for each date listed will be chosen. The Veteran sessions will be designed to allow districts to sign-up (which will optional) to host a portion of one of the coaching sessions.

Instructional coaches registered will be sent a link to the meeting prior to the meeting date. If one is not received two days before the meeting date, please contact Beth.Wharton@doe.nj.gov. Please check spam for email at least 3 days prior to meeting dates.

Districts may have instructional coaches attend the new coach cohort (coaching under 3 years) and the veteran cohort (coaching over 3 years) but should not register the same instructional coach for both sessions.

The same registered instructional coach is encouraged to attend all three virtual series professional development sessions. Please register no more than five instructional coaches per school district for each series.
