Identifying Title I, Part A Students in NJSMART

Webinar Description This Technical Assistance session focuses on the new Title I Indicator field in the NJ SMART SID Management Submission. Through this field, local educational agency (LEA) and school administrators are required to let the New Jersey Department of Education know whether each student took part in a Title I, Part A funded program and if so, what type of program.

Historically, aggregate counts of students served by Title I, Part A have been collected through the Title I Performance Report in EWEG. In Fall 2023, a Title I Indicator field was added to the NJ SMART SID Management Submission with the aim of eliminating the need for most sections of the Title I Performance Report. The purpose of this session is to explain how to fill in the Title I Indicator field for the 2023-24 End of Year SID Management Submission
