Webinar Description

School administrators and Child Study Teams are invited to this workshop that discusses research that investigated parent experiences of navigating access to inclusive education for their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The findings highlight the existence of problematic decision-making during the IEP process and reveal that justifications provided for the removal of student from general education environments are often inconsistent with IDEA. We will explore practical strategies for increasing access to learning for all students and teaching strategies that can build inclusive culture in classrooms and schools.
