Workshop Description The New Jersey Department of Education's Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning, in partnership with the New Jersey State Police Bomb Unit invites educational leaders and local law enforcement agencies to attend this session.

During this session Det. Sgt. First Class James Varick, the Bomb Squad Commander from the New Jersey State Police Bomb Unit will present on threat assessment and response protocols and best practices to utilize when responding to a school bomb threat.

This training is open to district and school leaders, school security personnel and local law enforcement. School leaders are encouraged to invite their local law enforcement partners to attend this session.

As there is no fee to attend this session, registration is required.
