Workshop Description The Department of Education is announcing the launch of the Amistad Journey Initiative as we close out Black History Month. The Amistad Journey is an experiential learning opportunity, hosted by the Amistad Commission that will send a team of educators to travel to sites related to the trans-Atlantic slave trade and to learn about how to incorporate that experience and information into their teaching across the curriculum. This incredible opportunity is made possible through a generous donation by the New Jersey Education Association.
