Workshop Description

This training is intended for new Master Teachers and PIRT who have not enrolled in or completed the Master Teacher or PIRT seminar. It is designed for the newly funded Preschool Education Aid (PEA) districts' whose program will begin October 1, 2019*. The training will provide an overview on the roles of both the Master Teachers and the Preschool Intervention Referral Team (PIRT) to build on collaborative relationships and coach classroom teachers using the reflective practice to improve instruction. Master Teachers and the Preschool Intervention Referral Team (PIRT) coaches will review the Preschool Implementation Guidelines, the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards and reference preschool curricula and assessment tools.
