Single Grants Audit Unit
Welcome to the Single Grants Audit Unit DOE Folder!
The Single Grants Audit Unit (SGAU) within the New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Fiscal Accountability and Compliance performs various audits to determine whether funds expended by the auditee complies with applicable Federal and state laws, regulations and guidance. These audits include:
- Fiscal monitorings of approved private schools for students with disabilities (APSSDs) in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-18.1 et seq.
- Audits of federal Perkins grants awarded to local education agencies (LEAs) and various New Jersey colleges and universities under the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 2018.
- Audits of federal Title I grants awarded to LEAs and county vocational schools pursuant to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as reauthorized by the Every Students Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA).
This folder enables users to 1) download documents to facilitate communication with appropriate SGAU personnel and an effective audit and 2) to the upload documents/records required for examination.
